Dr. John Condon, Colorado Springs Chiropractor
Hello! I’m Dr. John Condon. I grew up in Long Island, New York in an active household filled with sports and great Italian cooking! Sports injuries often happen when they’re least expected. While playing ice hockey in a NY state games tournament, I was cross checked in the neck and lost all the feeling in my arms and hands. Everything I tried medically failed to help me, so I went to a chiropractor. Within about 6 weeks, specific chiropractic adjustments helped my body heal. I was absolutely amazed; it changed my life forever! So amazed that I went to the University of Connecticut and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and then enrolled in Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduation, I went to New York Chiropractic College to obtain a post graduate degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP).
At that time, I was competing in marathons, century bike rides and triathlons and, since I was interested in training outdoor year-round, I moved to San Diego California. As a result of chiropractic care, a healthy diet and a nutrition supplementation plan, I completed Ironman Canada injury free in 2004. Always looking for a new challenge, in 2010, I chased the Tour de France through the Pyrenees mountains on a road bike for 12 days.
Chiropractic, nutrition and exercise have always been the foundation for our family. During this time my wife Lara and I had 3 children, born at home and enjoyed an organic, healthy lifestyle. I practiced in Encinitas, CA for 20 years, helping children, individuals and athletes of all levels create a healthy lifestyle and maximize their performance.
We are excited to serve the Colorado Springs area and raise our children in such a healthy, beautiful environment! I currently enjoy weight training, hiking, skiing and tennis. I have a feeling hiking 14ers is going to be a new challenge out here!
